One week away
Well.... at least that is what I'm hoping for. We have narrowed down some names...but then right when we think we have one, we decidethe next day we didn't reallyl ike it.
So....in the end, we really have nothing. Although I do have 4 knitted hats waiting for baby to wear.

The countdown begins
Geez, I'm just not sure I'm ready for this baby.
We don't have any clue on the name....we have many things we need, but just haven't purchased them yet...I don't have the hospital bag packed...we still need another dresser...
I'm wondering if it is always this way with your 3rd? poor little kid...
I did find out though, that as of last week the baby is about 6 lbs. That's good, b/c it sounds low, but I still have 6 weeks to go!

geez...I'm still pregnant...
we are still in the dark as to the sex of the baby, but so far this baby has given' me grief! :)
The issue with placenta previa cleared up and the last ultrasound showed that the placenta was at least out of the way. I was thankful for that.
I recently found out however, that I now have gestational diabetes. Which, really is just forcing me to cut carbs and sugar out of everything that I eat. It hasn't been as hard as I thought, and slowly the cravings for sugar are subsiding. So far, aside from having to test 4x a day, it hasn't been bad....AND luckily I do not have to take insulin.
the other half and one son are currently looking for a minivan. We test drove several last night and I liked the dodge caravan, but as my brother said my husband, "needs to turn in his man card"
The summer hasn't been all problems though, we had a great time visiting the family in TX. The kids got to....
1) go to the Houston Zoo (yeah for indoor exhibits)
2) see the new HP movie (okay that was me, but it was still cool)
3) Paint Pottery
4) Shop at an outlet mall (also, me, but hey, they got a pretzel out of it)
5) Jump and jump at a place that was 12k sq ft of bouncy castles...coolest place ever....
6) swim at an outdoor pool everyday of our vacation..
7) Check out Kyle Field
8) Go to the children's museum
9) Go on a 1/2 mile hike where at every turn was dinosaurs....
IT was fantastic...in fact, I would highly recommend the Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek TX. It is just outside of Austin. IT was great!!! The boys loved it and the dinosaurs looked so real. The T rex was , I swear, 40 feet tall.
In fact, here we are standing in front of a baby apatasaurus....

Okay...there is only one child in there... I think. This is me at nearly 24 weeks pregnant.
We have another ultrasound in a few weeks, just to make sure everything is okay. The dr said at the last ultrasound that I have partial placental previa.
I am really praying this resolves itself and I can still go to Texas this summer with the boys to see my mom and stepdad. :)

oh geez!
I can't believe how many tantrums one nearly three year old can throw! It's really been trying. No kidding. Does anyone else feel like they are always telling their child no?? bummer. I am really hoping that this is something that he outgrows.

too funny!
The kids just crack me up! Josh is the funniest kid who says the weirdest things.
First - Leprechaun day at school was fun for him...kinda. He thought it was funny that the leprechauns had messed everything up, however when it came down to drinking green milk at lunch...that was apparently the breaking point. He was NOT going to have anything to do with that. Someone he got it in his head that it was the way in which the milk was turned green which was a problem. He was just SURE the leprechauns turned the milk green by crapping in it. He refused to drink it, he even convinced himself it smelled like poo.
second - The boys are cute about asking for their new sibling. Hud decided that he wanted to call the baby lumpy....while Josh thought that was a terrible name, and thought he would call the baby gun parts....yes...don't reread that... you read correctly...gun parts.

Sneaky....where did he learn that???
Hud: Can I sit on your lap mama?
me: I only have room for one right now, but when Josh is done, it can be your turn..
hud: oh, okay...(leaves the room)
(comes back into the room)
Hud: Josh, I'm going to play with your favorite guy, is that okay?
Josh: (hopping up) no!
Hud: mama?? can I sit with you now?

Playhouse Disney review
Oh geez, what a day. I took the kiddies to see Playhouse disney Live on stage in Richland this weekend. It was fun...not sure it was $60 fun, but at least they had a good time...kinda..
We finally get going in the morning. I've thought of everything. Everyone has attempted to potty before we go and we are off.
I am completely bombarded with questions the entire trip...are we there yet mom? How much longer now?
Thank goodness they finally fall asleep. However, I am such a bad judge of time...thanks Seattle. Ever since I've lived there, I'm always over estimating how long it'll take me to get anywhere.
So we are there one hour early. I'm thinking I really dont' want to let them just wander around looking at all the over priced stuff, so I stop by Target. I tell the boys they have $10 each. We run back to the toy section and they find something.
Josh is a bit over $10 and the other under, so at least it worked out in the end.
We get to the show parking lot and it's a zoo. no kidding. There are minivans as far as the eye can see. There are parents who are already mad and yanking their kids along. My boys instantly freeze and are death gripping my hands.
We walk inside and there is Disney everywhere! The boys don't really seem to care too much b/c they are just excited about the toys that are waiting for them in the car.
We are seated at the opposite side of the arena, so we start to walk. The boys are quietly following me, no screaming "I want this" or "Look at that" I silently say a prayer of thanks.
We finally get to our seats...way way way up there. Section QQ, row 18...there's only one row behind us and we are at the top. I get the Josh seated and turn to sit the other when I hear a snap and scream.
Apparently there is a weight minimum for the seats to work in the Toyota Cetner. I inadvertently sat Josh down and when I let go, it folded him up in the seat.
Yea, he was done forthe rest ofthe show. He only wanted to sit in Mom's lap for the rest of the time.
As I'm watching people file in, I'm amazed at the amount of money people drop on this thing. Leo's wand, which I think if I saw correctly was $22 was in the hands of nearly every child there... I was again glad that my kids seemed totally uninterested. They just sat there, with their hands folded in their laps.
Several people commented on how good they were being. I couldn't tell you why, they just sat silently with their hands folded for nearly 20 minutes while we waited forthe show to start.
The show finally starts( after Hud yells , "Geez this is taking forever...")
Josh buries his head in my lap and doesn't really see much of the show after this. The Postess comes out and delivers invites to Mickey's friends for a music party.
It's an okay premise, but the cheese was layed on pretty thick. In fact, you could say that if they were shitting sunshine, we'd all have a sunburn.
It was pretty cheesy. Hud was pretty excited when Mickey came out and for the rest of thetime. He definately wasn't as into it as other kids were, but I think he liked it.
Basically everyone from Playhouse Disney has to find a song to get to Mickey's party.
I would tell you how it ended, but I don't know. When it got close to the end, I asked the boys if they still wanted to go to McDonalds for lunch...then it was all done for Josh.
He perked right up and was done with the show...
So much for that.

The birthday!
I can hardly believe that it was birthday time again! We had fun, although, I felt a little lame that I didn't plan any games, I just put out a bunch of play doh and let them have at it.
Poor lil' brother was having a hard time with the fact that it wasn't his birthday. He seemed to be better if I just whispered a cursory "happy birthday" to him too!
